Kindersley was the smallest community to host the winter games in Saskatchewan

Important Legacies: Kindersley, a community of five thousand succeeded pulling off the winter games that the governing body from the Provincial Government awarded the next two winter games to communities of similar size.
In 1994, Kindersley played host to the Saskatchewan Winter games. The winter Games and the Summer games are the largest athletic events, in terms of numbers of participants, that take place in the Province. For one week, 1500 volunteers from Kindersley and the surrounding area committed their time to ensure the success of these games.
Pacific College Cup Series

The countries competing for the Cup included Team USA, Team Korea, Team Japan and Team Canada.
Number of Volunteers Participating: 100
The Cup Series 1986 was very successful with the National Teams. Team USA, Team Japan, Team Korea & Team Canada gained tremendous experience for their team development. The teams played in the double round robin as they prepared for the Korea Olympics.

Kindersley as host for the 1984 Championship also hosted Team Canada for their development team for the Championship. Ten countries competing were: USA, Korea, Cuba, Belgium, Chinese Taipei, Panama, Australia, Nicaragua and Canada.
